Full House Demolition
A full house demolition is more than knocking a building over — it is disconnecting services safely, dealing with any asbestos the right way, taking the structure down in a controlled order, and sorting and removing everything so the block is left clean. Geelong's housing runs the full range, from Victorian and Edwardian weatherboards in Newtown and Geelong West to post-war brick in Belmont and Highton and larger double-storey homes, and each comes down differently. We handle the whole job from the paperwork to the last skip.
Knockdown-Rebuild Site Preparation
A knockdown-rebuild only works if the demolition lands on time and leaves the block exactly as the builder needs it. It is a different job from a straight demolition: it has to fit into a build program, coordinate with the builder and surveyor, and finish with a clean, level site that does not hold up the slab. Knockdown-rebuild is common across Geelong — from infill in the established suburbs to older homes on good blocks in Highton, Grovedale and Belmont — and getting the demolition right is the first step of the new home.
Partial & Interior Strip-Out
Not every job is a full demolition. A renovation often needs part of a house removed — a rear wing taken off for an extension, an interior stripped back to the frame, a bathroom or kitchen gutted, or an old lean-to and dodgy additions cleared away — while the rest of the home stays and stays protected. Partial demolition is more precise work than a full knockdown: it is about removing exactly what is changing, cleanly, without damaging what is staying.
Garage, Shed & Pool Removal
Sometimes it is not the house that has to go — it is the crumbling garage, the rusted shed, the old carport, the outbuildings, or a disused pool that has become a liability. These smaller demolitions still need doing properly: services checked, asbestos watched for (old sheds and garages are a classic spot for it), the structure removed, and the ground cleared and levelled so you actually get usable space back rather than a patch of rubble.
Asbestos-Aware Demolition & Disposal
Any home built before around 1990 may contain asbestos — and in Geelong that covers a large share of the housing, from fibro sheeting and eaves to vinyl floor tiles, cement pipes and shed cladding. You cannot legally or safely demolish a house with asbestos still in it, so it is not an optional extra: identifying it, removing it correctly and disposing of it legally is a core part of any demolition on older stock. This is the part of a demolition where cutting corners is genuinely dangerous, so it is treated seriously.
